I have to tell you the strangest thing... So, after 3 early losses, I finally got pregnant a 4th time and I fully believe that this song helped it to stick. Especially the line, "May the wind blow into your life such faith and trust.." That line always allowed the tears of love to flow & the calm to settle in. After maybe 11 weeks, I slowed down on listening to it (I used to listen daily), until eventually, I just wasn't listening at all. It wasn't because I finally felt confident that everything would be okay, it was because I received some terrible news about my NIPT screening. I tested positive for Trisomy-18. I've been in such a low headspace about it. I've just been bracing for the worst news. Today (at 16 weeks + 1 day) I had my amniocentesis procedure. It's where they insert a long needle through the belly to the uterus to extract amniotic fluid for testing. This is the only definitive way to diagnose. I won't have my results until Thursday or Friday. But I wanted to tell you that while I was lying there, deeply uncomfortable both physically and emotionally, holding my partner's hand and just breathing through it, I heard (loud and clear) your song in my mind. It was as if my guardian angels/guides were surrounding me and singing it to me to keep me calm, and also as if I was singing it to my baby to keep him calm. It was truly the only thing that got me through it. It all was happening inside my mind and all anyone would've seen on my face (my mouth was covered by a mask) were my eyes as they released a few tears. I'm just so grateful for this song. I share it far and wide. It's so powerful in its ability to heal all things. Thank you so much.
