This is one of few cases where the Democrats are not completely wrong. Kennedy does strike me as a person who embraces conspiracy theories. And I do have some concerns about his views on vaccines. But that doesn't mean he is wrong on every issue. And he can contribute some good ideas. But those ideas need to be put under scrutiny. So, I have mixed feelings about his nomination. As for the Democrats, I don't have mixed feelings about them. Unlike Kennedy, I don't trust them at all.

Although he has had borderline racist views (for the record, people, black people are not stronger than white people and we feel pain - shouldn't have to spell that out), I think he has grown up a bit (maybe not on the romantically faithful front but that's a Cheryl problem). He presented himself well. I even felt sorry for him because making a person with a throat condition talk (even argue) for 3 hours is a bit nuts but good they have this process. No idea if we have this in the UK. I don't think we personally hear from the people the PM chooses to have in his cabinet until their first day at work. It would be good to have this thorough system in UK Parliament, televised for all.
