Mate, you are an absolute lifesaver! So simple and so effective. Worked on my beko oven door (I'm in the UK) brilliantly. I have had my Built-in Indesit Oven Door Off, Dismantled, Reinstalled, Sworn at so many times, because it won’t close fully, I’ve lost count. Incredible! My daughter and I usually cook together, and we’ve been joking every evening about cooking ourselves as well as the meal in the 200C kitchen, then the rest of the house seems freezing when we finish… we take it in turns to stand against the oven door! Ive been dealing with a loose door on my Ariston oven for years. Replaced hinges twice. Replaced hinge guides. Added washers to hinge guides. Etc, nothing worked.

This is one of those life hacks that everyone should know about ! Our brand new oven door has been staying 10-20mm open for the last month making it really annoying to use. This 3 minute fix has got it fully closing against the seal as it should.

I have never commented on a YouTube video before, but this was magic!

I told my husband what to do and it didn’t work so I called the appliance repair shop and they told me it was a waste to have their people come out because I’d need a new one. Since we were committed to buying a new one, he gave it another go and pushed REALLY REALLY hard figuring it couldn’t get more broken. The door had to basically shut despite the cloths. And then BAM it was fixed. I spent almost 2 hours researching options this morning, and this was the only place I saw such an easy fix. Thank you for saving me $500+
