Harnoncourt faces:
0:39 - "If you rush, your head gonna become like not your bells: DETACHED".
0:48 - "If you dare cracking a note, your right hand will get cracked too".
0:53 - "Quite good. Now again, and remember: DON'T YOU DARE."
1:12 - "Whew, they got through it flawlessly. Let's party with a minuetto".

Bonus face:
1:07 by Hermann Baumann - "I beg your pardon for anything you may have desired or we may have failed, Supreme Master Harnoncourt".

I love the sound of original instruments. It's gorgeous and triggers my imagination sending me back to the XVIII century.

Amazing that a rolled up brass tube can be used as an instrument

I love the Brandenburgs. No 5 is ku favourite, no 1 the least. But this horn solo is the best moment in the whole lot.

Are we not going to talk about the violin hanging on the concert master's stand?

What's the date on this? Early 1980s?

Why are they hand-stoping when this technique was not used until the classical period - aka Mozart’s time? This could not be considered truely authentic!

This is good. But I still prefer them being performed on baroque horns instead. The sound is a lot more direct, without the hand in the bell.
