A Rube Goldberg Machine Marble Race!!! A Rube Goldberg Machine is a complex contraption with a sequence of events, each event triggering the next one. I love the concept and I wanted to try a Rube Goldberg marble race! This was a complex build, first getting one machine to work (kind of) reliably, then making 10 of them side by side and getting them all to work reliably enough so that we can have a race where everyone gets to the finish line.

For the Rube Goldberg Machine purists: This is all gravity. No action is scripted and nothing relies on external input. Gravity alone gets the chain reaction all the way from the start to the finish line.

The music was generated by me using a paid Suno Pro account, then remixed/refined by me into a final version.

This is a 3D animation hand-created in Blender. I don't control the race outcomes. I build the tracks and I release the marbles. The outcomes are down to complex simulated physics built into the software.

This track was awesome! The tag team of tiles, blocks, and marbles throughout the race was dope. Love the clacking sound of the marbles and tiles, need more of that!
