The C1 is the best buy of 2021. But A90j is legit awesome, best tv... ever. The increased detail, better skin tones and absolutely amazing HDR highlights.. Great video. 🧐💪

The HDMI 2.1 situation alone would prevent me from buying the Sony. At that price, it should have all HDMI 2.1 ports.

I had saved up the money for both these tvs in 55 and plumed for the C1 and I'm delighted! Big Sony fan here and after 20 years of their sets I wanted a change, and I have no regrets.
I'm a huge gamer as well as movie buff and I'm insanely pleased, I had enough cash for the Sony but I'm glad I've tried something new. Personally I didn't enjoy the Google interface and Im finding WebOs a breath of fresh air and find it far more flexible. I have to say its taken me some time to find the best picture settings and made the mistake of listening to too many so called expert's when it came to picture advice, but weed through the chaff and you find the perfect settings. When it comes to gaming this set has no piers, I loaded up Valhalla yesterday and my jaw hit the floor... Simply beautiful. I so nearly stuck with Sony who you can always trust but if like me you want to visit some place new take the plunge you won't be disappointed

Was blown away with the picture of the A90J. But I ended up getting A 55 inch C1, Ps5, a few games, and a sound bar for the same price as a 55 inch A90J. Couldn't be happier.

Would go for the C1 pretty handily. Although the Sony TV offers a better picture (that's probably not in dispute) the fact that the LG is still fantastic and it has features that may or may not come to the Sony set (VRR) make it the easy winner for me. I know Sony has announced VRR is coming in a future firmware update...they also announced it for last year and then tried to cancel it until they got called out. Not to mention the blurry screen you got last year with 120hz. Should not be those kind of issues with a expensive brand like Sony.

The A90J is 60% more expensive than the C1 here in Canada...I'd expect the A90J to be better when it is priced at nearly $5k (CDN)

I went to best buy the other day & was fully convinced in going OLED. I do plan on gaming too, so I really think the LG is the way to go. And I've never owned 4k anything so it'll still be a massive upgrade & I'll still be highly satisfied with the picture. I really can't wait & hope I get it home safe.

The A90J would really be perfect if it had VRR. The lack of it is a deal breaker for someone who wants gaming features.

I’ve always have been a big Sony fan... for many years. I wanted the the best 65 inch OLED and came down to the same two models. I found a few reviews that considered the pictures as being a bit closer but most seem to agree with Caleb (giving Sony the edge). However, I believe Sony has priced their OLED way too high. I could maybe justify about a $500 difference, but not over $ 1k. Sorry, Sony the LG is just too good.
