Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. James Joseph Heckman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 2000 ‘for his development of theory and methods for analysing selective samples’ and thus proving the value of Oppenheimer’s initial lessons.

In this video, he states that the future of economics lies within empirical economics, which is grounded in solid data, and that only such economics work as a vaccine against this post-truth world.

Prof. Dr. James Heckman will attend 6th Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences (#LiNoEcon) in Lindau, Germany, on 22–26 August 2017.
