They played the song at my senior prom. I had never heard it before because not having friends means you don't get exposed to modern culture and let me tell you it was a little bit of a surreal experience to just suddenly have the entire room singing that out of nowhere. And then immediately into a slow dance song. It gave me a little bit of and pardon the pun whiplash.
