Lime is an app-based service for renting scooters that has taken the world by storm. These are electric scooters that are easily spotted by the Lime logo. As we say in the video, "When life gives you limes, your ride them!"

There are a few things to know about Lime. First, you need the app on Android or Apple to ride them, so if you are going to give it a go, download it first before you plan your trip.

Let's look at a quick review:

First of all, I applaud all of the cities that have allowed Lime and other electric scooter companies to come in. They add to the story of the city and offer a wonderful option for residents and tourists to get around. We've talked to people that take them to work each day and other people that use them to take a casual ride each night. They appeal to a wide range of demographics.

There are still some rules to figure out with regard to city bylaws, but those will be sorted out in a short time (ie. sidewalk driving, bike lanes, road use, etc.)

So how do Lime Scooters work, how does the app work, and what rating do we give Lime Scooters?

4.5/5 overall, 4/5 in Montreal.

I like the Lime Scooters that have the back foot break. These did not. Also, these ones in Montreal did not have bells. Which I think are nice and likely the bylaw in a lot of cities.

Still, the charge takes you a long way. We travelled 13 km either direction to the Montreal Biosphere from downtown. And we hit close to 30km per hour going down a couple of hills.

So much fun!

The app is easy to use. The only issue we have had so far is when the phone is close to dying. Be sure you have a full charge so you won't run into that little snag.

Also, a gorilla pod and iPhone on the handle definitely does not work! 😂 GoPro worked great.

That's our Lime Scooter Review - Riding around the streets of Montreal.

All for now,

JV
