A video spotlight of CIGA Design's 'Blue Planet' that won the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG)'s 'Challenge Watch Prize' in 2021. I've been supporting CIGA Design watches for years due to their unique designs that differentiates my wrist from other people. So quite naturally, I placed order for the Blue Planet when it was initially dropped.

My only gripe with CIGA Design is their quality control (QC). I was rather disappointed with my Blue Planet when I inspected it closely, for the price, the dial finishing weren't that great and there were dings and hairline scratches on the outer watch case even though it was fresh out of the box. It looks great on the wrist, but IMHO feels a little cheap when inspected up close. However, it is still a unique conversation piece and belongs to any watch enthusiast's collection.

Do not bother to try to read the time off it, as it would take 5-10x longer than just checking your phone. Very effective statement piece, but extremely inefficient in telling the time even if you know how to. The numbers are way to small to look at at a glance.

Material: Stainless Steel

Movement: Self-winding/Automatic (Allegedly Swiss-made, I don't think so)
Strap: Blue rubber strap (Stainless steel pin buckle, IMO badly finished)
Glass: Curved sapphire crystal
Water Resistance: 30m

Video taken by an iPhone 12 Pro Max, also with a clip-on macro lens for close-ups.
