Some might have taken it a little too literally when Konrad Hurrell squared up to Sonny Bill Williams who, if Hurrell didn't know, is a heavyweight boxing champion. It might have been an ill-advised decision but it at least illustrated they weren't going to take a backward step.

SBW is and has always been a hard bastard! Way back to when he was a kid mullering grown men in his first stint in league! Put the ring to one side and remember he was always game as fck with the gloves off!! He became famous by putting guys up in the air or wiping them out clean with his boulder shoulders! Unusual combo of being brutal in the contact yet genius with his hands. A lot was made of the fact Burgess rolled over him when he had big time momentum but not many mention when SBW put Burgess on his backside at RLWC. Hard man, deserves more credit!

very true bro. i met him in perth city when i flew over to watch chiefs v force, and i met him in the city one morning, and talked to him, tim nanai, cruden and robbie robinson for about 25mins. they were just down to earth people, especially SBW. no one in perth recognized them at all haha, everyone just walking past.

It has to be said, Konrad Hurrell is one of the strongest players in the NRL.  He also has a a very big head.  These cannot be underestimated when it comes to a fight on a rugby field.  I would bet that Sonny Bill's heart probably sank a little when he turned round and saw it was Hurrell that pushed him, cause I don't think there's a scarier player at the warriors.

You don't know jack bro. SBW has learnt to box and excel in it while playing another sport full time. Let's see Hurrell put in the extra 100% effort during a season to learn another sport. He barely even lasts a 80min game while standing out wide making 7 tackles a game, and 6 hit ups. SBW would clean him up no doubt about it.
