Intel Core i7 9700K Spotted Overclocked To 5 3 GHz on Air Cooling

As launch of the Intel 9th Generation, core processors gets closer and closer, more performance and overclocking previews (or leaks as we call them) are appearing on various Asian forums. The latest one shows the Core i7-9700K being pushed beyond 5 GHz on an air cooling setup!

they didn't sooner only because they the competition from Amd wasn't so hard. Now they have still problems with 10nm (delayed for the umpteenth time), while Amd will probably in the next 6 months show her 7nm processors. That's why Intel after saying for a lot of time that their toothpaste was as good as solder can't hide the reality anymore. Solder was their only and last possibility to push further their 14nm processors.

I have to upgrade my CPU & motherboard, and I can't decide on the i7-8700k or the i7-9700k as my CPU. Which one will be better for gaming and 4k video editing?

No matter how much voltage I can’t get a stable overclock for it higher than 5ghz and I have a 240mm liquid cooler

Im running 5.2 ghz on a noctua air cooler.. 1.390voltage.
Temps dont pass 70°... could probably push it to those 5.3ghz but I only use this pc for gaming.. should I post these results or is it a common thing now?

I got 5ghz on all cores on a air cooler. I havent tried any higher.

Do you guys think I should upgrade to the 9700k or stick to my 8700k? This chip is only a few months old but I want more ipc gains. I've managed to get this chip stable at 4.9ghz at 1.315v on air but I'm not sure what I want to do with my money. Someone help me out xD
