Same owner the last 50 years! It has won AACA Junior, Senior, Grand National and Grand National Senior awards. It has it's original California black plates and registration to prove it. What a handsome car. The Deluxe Holiday Coupe has a massive, yet stylish design.

EXTERIOR: Absolutely no rust or damage. All original, uncut metal. This car was painted in 1982 and it still looks phenomenal! That tells you how good the car was to begin with. It also tells you how well it's been cared for. It is absolutely laser straight, no dimples, no bubbles. All the panels fit beautifully. It's painted in the correct lacquer that you can't even get anymore. The finish is smooth like glass. There are some minor imperfections if you look for them. In front, the giant chrome grill and bumper has been replated. All the stainless trim has been polished. The moldings around the windows, down the sides looks like new. The mirrors and door handle are excellent. In back the taillights are a part of the tail fin, the rear panel and bumper are show quality. The glass is real clear. Door jambs are painted real nice, weather strips are soft. The red rims have an excellent set of hubcaps and big white wall tires.

INTERIOR: Very nice inside too. It has red upholstery with the gray cloth inserts on the seats and door panels. The metal trim is painted a glass finish red. All the chrome, instruments, knobs, radio look great. Beautiful steering wheel. The cloth headliner is real nice and has the chrome ribs, visors are nice. It has a day/night mirror, a clock, and power windows. The power seat is not functioning.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's restored to factory condition. It has the Oldsmobile 364 Rocket motor with a 4 barrel carb. All the components look stock and refinished. It has the optional washer bottle system and has power steering. It has correct size battery with the proper hold down cover. It has hood insulation pad. All the metal surfaces are smooth and painted.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a complete liner package in excellent shape. The spare tire has never been used, it's on a painted red rim. The jack is restored The paint under the trunk lid and the jamb is excellent. The weather strip is soft. It has a trunk light.

UNDERSIDE: Absolutely rust free metal, never cut. The owner did not have to remove it from the frame, he spent days underneath cleaning it. The floors were painted a satin black finish. The chassis is a semi gloss. He says the front shocks could use rebuilding.

Pure class. The beautiful car makes a statement. It runs and rides so smoothly. The condition is impressive. This is a rare opportunity to buy a car from someone that owned it the last 50 years!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

I was fortunate enough to have driven an early 1950's Cadillac Coupe w/factory air that had the stainless flipper panel along the front side windows. The car belonged to my sisters' friend.

Jay you pulled another rabbit out of your hat with this gorgeous Olds 98! I expected it to have an automatic not a 3 O.T.T. making it very rare. It'll sell fast I feel. I love this gen of Olds! Great color combo.

Three speed? Wow! That's rare. Most Olds 98's, in those days, had the Hydra-matic.

Jay, the Buick Rocket 88 for 1953 was the 303, with the 324 following in 1954. It had 8:1 compression (up from 1952's 7.5:1compression ratio) and a whopping 165 hp. You have been selling old cars for awhile and it can be easy to mix up some of the '50's GM engines. The '50's GM engine with 364 CID is the Buick nailhead of 1957.

I like the curves of the 53 Olds more than the 54, that had a more boxy look. Automatic transmission was the norm for Oldsmobile by 1953, but this one has a standard column shift. Very odd choice but I suppose the owner had a reason for ordering it that way. I can't imagine it was randomly made with a standard transmission.

This Car reminds me of the Car my Grandfather owned, a 1954 Chrysler Imperial 2 Door. It was massive and slow. It had a Hemi Engine, Cigarette Lighters and Ashtrays in the Armrest, Power Windows, Automatic Transmission, Power Front Seats, Power Steering, those Rope Grap things that ran on the backs of the Front Seat so the Rear Passenger can hold on to something? He called it "The Machine." He gave it to my older Brother around 1970, who owned it for another 15 years.

If GM can resurrect Hummer with little heritage then Oldsmobile is certainly worth far more effort.

Actually the Fiesta was the top of the line but only 458 were built.
I had one of these 98s in 1978-79. Fun days.
FYI: the engine is 303 c.i.d. In 1954 it was bored out to 324 and 1957 into a 371.

It looks like the passenger side rear shock is missing a bushing and the red bushing on the driver's side has an incorrect red bushing but the bolts don't look tight.
