Sometimes in an attempt to fly for the first time they fall to the ground. You could check around the building to see if they are there and put them up high on the roof again. Hope they are ok.

I wouldn't worry. It is the fledging time of the year for the baby seagulls, they usually test their limits and hang around the lower levels from the next - buildings or mostly ground in small flocks from the other nests. It is the time for socialization and making bonds with their siblings and other youngsters. You will probably start hearing the annoying yet cute baby seagull high pitch cries everywhere as they will still demand the food from the parents who are trying to wean them off.
They will fly around and ultimately join a flock of the youngsters and fly away soon enough to hang around with them and socialize so they can find a permanent mate in 3 year's time.

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. we saw them practicing their flying and the next step for fledgling birds is to leave the nest. (many birds leave before they have all their feathers in or can fly properly) At this stage they are usually nearby on the ground somewhere, still being looked after and fed by their parent(s) while they get the hang of things. (obviously this IS a dangerous time for them, since they will be encountering predators and hazards for the first time. but its also natural for them to start venturing away from home. so hopefully they are fine.)

You should check around the building. You need to get a motion activated nature camera. 24/7 ability to keep an eye on Steven and the babies.
