Falling with Linear Air Drag (Air Friction & Terminal Velocity)

Показать описание
We'll discuss the motion of an object that falls in the presence of a drag force that is proportional to velocity (linear drag, or bv). We'll find the terminal velocity by setting the net force to zero (mg - bv =0), graph the expected position, velocity, and acceleration vs. time graphs, and then derive the functions v(t) and a(t) that go along with them. We"ll use the technique of separation of variables (separate and integrate) to solve for v(t).
