Synthsaga SciFi: 1950s AeroRockers come to Down City - ,parallel dimension

The aeroRockers come to town for their small business. They sell a new type of very compact batteries and strut around with their modified cars that run on them.
You can tell when they arrive because a strange noise resounds in the streets, a mixture of jet plane and gasoline engine.
In reality they live a bit outside the law, and often cause chaos in traffic by parking wherever they want, because according to them, their cars come to beautify the city and decorate it with their fantastic custom designs, far from the cold and soulless shapes of the standard cars.

They take the most iconic part of a car for humans, which for them, after the horses, were those vintage carriages that were given in our dimension of the 50-60's and enhance and improve them with advanced but very discreet technologies (sometimes...).
In a way they are melancholic of the past, although they don't hesitate to upgrade their car with the latest magnetic propulsion hybrid model that appears on the market. What a bunch!

In the 50s, my grandfather had a Nash Rambler, but the only time it "flew" was when the bridge was out.

Now the boys and I cruised into Down City late Saturday afternoon looking to turn some heads, scope the dolls, and make some Eight and Out coin.

We didn't want no mess but you always gotta be primed. So we were packing our fireballs and cutlery.

At Clancy's there were several empty tables and a gang of young sharks hanging. We introduced ourselves and shook hands: Duke White, Clay Doggett, Ronnie Samson, Jack Del Ray, Mike Booth and me, Rory Quantrill. We forgot their names as soon as they spoke. Sure they did the same.

We made out real well to the tune of six racks, a thousand a piece. They never stood a chance. They followed us out on the street and we expected they were about to regret it. But when they saw our sleds, they chilled and admired the metal. Now we just needed to find those sweet things.
