DUCK CHESS: the 1st Battle

I play my first game of the infamous new chess variant: Duck Chess.

The function of this latest chess piece is, like all ducks, simply to get in the way! You cannot move a piece through a duck, and you must move the duck to an open pond/ uhum square at the end of each turn…

This means that the duck largely functions as an impediment in the opening where you and your opponent take turns shunting the poor quacker around trying to stop them putting their pieces on the squares they want to. Sporaduckly there are also unique ducktics to be found where you can nick protected pieces and use the duck as a fluffy shield to escape your preduckament. And finally even to impede their kings migration when you come for vinduckcation….
Orrr. You can just wing it…

Oh I was under the impression that Duck Chess was the standard. I thought all these GMs in tournaments were playing a variant all along!

From 4:00 to almost 7:00 the knight was hanging

Explanation edit: By moving the pawn to c4 and the duck to d4 you win the knight because it's trapped

5:27 Instead of moving the knight, just push the pawn to force his Knight to move, put the duck on the d-file and boom you've won a free horsey lol

Couldn't you have trapped his knight at 5:11 with C4 and Duck to D4 taking away the only escape square for the knight?
