Yes I remember what it reopened a lot of people pitched in to fix the stands I personally found out too late that it was reopened I went to the last two races but I didn't know about it before that's why I say it did better publicity and I believe the people who read it was all a strict budget they did things like really portable lighting for the track and portable restrooms and don't work needs to be done right and it will do well

I used to go there back in the early "80"s. Met a chick and was talking to her on the track as everyone was walking to the pits. Suddenly some guy starts talking shit to me. He was the guy that would be on the raised platform waving the flags. Turns out I was talking to his girlfriend. Fight avoided. I wonder what that chick is doing nowadays.
