Feeding South American cichlids

We try to feed our cichlids a variety of pellets, flakes, and frozen foods to give our fish the best diet possible, while trying not to over feed. For adult cichlids, typical recommendations would be to feed once per day, and roughly 5-6 times per week. Taking one day off per week can actually be beneficial to your fish. Great video... One thing I have noticed since watching you guys is the small amount of food that feed .. I love that pretty much every time you show how much you feed... That's extremely important for people to understand that, a HUGE part in keeping them alive and healthy is not overfeeding!! Untrained eyes would think just because those guys are huge fish they should be given huge amounts of food and it's the complete opposite...

Your aquarium doesn't have a top cover because oscar jumps a lot.

Is that what you feed them once a day? My oscars would be trying to jump out the tank mad if i did that😅
