I've consistently had a star seller badge for over 3 years now but I don't really think it makes a difference to customers, either. When I'm looking for something to buy on Etsy, I look at the listing's images, description and reviews. I never even think about whether or not they're a star seller. I look at star seller status as a nice to have but not necessary thing.

As far as reviews go, I've been very fortunate. I have almost 1, 500 reivews and I think maybe around 10 of those are below 5 stars. I've only had one case opened against me and Etsy sided with me. I've never asked for a review so I think I'm doing pretty good in that department (knock on wood). I think one thing that's helped is using my images to give more product details like Starla suggested. Buyers DO NOT read descriptions. Etsy doesn't make it easy for them but I'm sure most wouldn't do it even it was easy.

I received a bad review because I sell digital wraps and sign rounds. Customer reached out waiting for her delivery and checked with the neighbors. I have “Digital Download” in 7 places on my listings. She was upset, of course I refunded her. Couldn’t believe they thought I would ship a sign for $2 and tax.

I appreciate this video so much. I had someone this morning leave a bad review because she got a short sleeve instead of a long sleeve, but she selected the short sleeve at checkout (so her error). But I was still willing to work with her and create a solution but then she went a little crazy and called me a scammer for not sending her a long sleeve shirt (Again, she ordered a short sleeve not a long sleeve lol). There was no diffusing the situation, I have a love it guarantee and issued a refund based on that and was professional when telling her to have a nice day. Its not my first situation and usually I can work with them to find a solution because I try to treat them how I would want to be. But I did report the review to Etsy because she left her phone number in the review, which is private information. However, they are saying that it doesn't violate policy but their policy states "phone number" as one of the things that is private information.

Hi Starla! Thank you for your content. I had a 3 star review for an acrylic ornament that the customer didn't read and thought it was a glass ornament. Everywhere in the listing says it's an acrylic ornament. 🤦‍♀️I didn't reach back because I was so angry.

Oh how I wish I had seen this video yesterday! I received my first two star review from a customer complaining about the quality of wrapping paper, even though my listing photos clearly describe the quality of paper. After investigating and switching to a new print provider with a different product, I replied publicly to the negative review. I guess this means there’s no way the negative review could be considered for removal. 😢

I just got Star Seller last week. Sales have gone from 1 sale a week to 5 this week which is good. I opened my store on January 5 this year.

Great video, just recently received my first 2 star review and this helps so much. I am still trying to figure out how to get them to change their review since they did not see how many questions were in my digital game, though I have it listed a few times in my pictures and within the listing description.

But should they not respond or change their mind, You have given me the perfect formula to put potential customers at ease in the future. Thank you so much!

OMG wtf, I literally got my first 1 star review from someone called Steven because the item was too small, and I have the size in the photo and description, as well as the height of the model wearing it. He basically wanted the sweatshirt to look like in the photos by ordering a smaller size for someone taller.
Is this the same guy?

Yesterday I got a 1 star, the customer ordered a medium and states that medium is too big, and says beware! To warn other buyers. I state the long sleeve t shirt run big and is unisex on description and photo cards.

Any idea why the Arctic Fleece Blankets from the UK by Harrier aren't available on Printify all of the sudden??? Their US sister company, District Photo, has been on point for the most part and the blanket sample we received is great. We've been having a lot of success with these blankets so far on Etsy. Just wondering if it is normal for providers to "disappear" over the holidays due to stock delays?

I just got a 3 star today... the customer written "The colors are not identical to the photo (lighter), but it's still a pretty necklace. Thanks!"... I use awlays the same pigments, that are metallic so i added a video where i show that moving the pendant and with different lights it could appear more light or more dark.... and a written disclaimer... so don't know what to do more then this to prevent the "i expected a different color"... this make me nut... >___<

I have a question about adding holiday shipping information to my best-selling listings. Will updating the description of these listings affect their performance in Etsy’s algorithm? I'm concerned about whether making changes to already successful listings might disrupt their ranking or visibility.
