In this video were going to unbox the Oregon Corded Electric Chainsaw. There is a reason why I am switching to an electric chainsaw and I discuss that in this video. We will also test it out to see how well it works.

How long do you think this Electric Chainsaw is going to last?

I"ve been using this saw for two years and its unbelievably awesome. I use it with a Honda 2000 generator and have no overload issues. I highly recommend this saw.

I have two of the Oregon electric chainsaws. I run them off of an inverter on my Bobcat. Love them.

I live on over an acre with over 80 trees consisting of pine, oak and other species.
A 16” corded chain saw has been perfectly adequate for felling, pruning and cutting up firewood.
A circular saw is handy for less than 3”.

Thank you for the great video, Elliott. Definitely a huge improvement over average chainsaw videos. I wish I had found your channel before buying the same saw earlier today. I would have used your link.

Must say, first impressions, wow. Just delivered over 2 hours ago, one diseased Willow now gone. Took roughly 30 minutes to do the whole tree. The Willow was half dead last summer, and some 25 years old, but I injured my leg, so couldn't do anything. A garden maintenance guy was doing the rounds looking for work, he quoted £1800, to get rid of the Willow and another Sycamore. "Oh, it will take 4 guys to do that in a day", was his justification for the steep price. I said I'd do it once my leg was healed.

Ordered an Oregon CS1400 yesterday, like I said, less than 30 minutes later, one Willow down and cut to pieces to throw in my car boot. What a tool, great power, and it's not very heavy at all. Very impressed. Let's see how long it lasts. Only gripe, didn't come with chain oil, but I had some from my old Worx which died a sudden death.

I have a RYOBI 40v battery 14 inch saw. That thing handles the workload with no issues. I've taken down trees with it too!

Nice video, I will be purchasing the Dewalt 60 18 inch cordless. Most of what I cut is smaller and it is a game changer so says my neighbor who cuts wood like you. Dont be afraid to transition to electric.

Works better than I thought it would. Not sure it would be my solution but definitely will be for yours. Good video EE

Seems like it will serve its purpose. I have one remaining old Husky corded saw that would occasionally fry the switch but yours seems much improved and probably more powerful.

It did better than I thought it would. Looking forward to the following reviews on it.

I have two of these cs 1500 for chainsaw carving in the winter. Have had the both for over two years. Only issue I’ve had is the oiler not working consistently.
Not a big fan of the self shaping chain because it makes it so dangerous to move because the razor sharp teeth catch your hands and clothing, all the time But at the same time it cuts white like butter. Also the bar has to be cleaned a lot more with this saw. Or stops oiling

You can never have too many tools in the tool box. I'm surprised as well that it worked that well.

It's electric, boogie woogie 😂😂 I think that is a great idea using an electric saw when the kids are napping 💪

The chainsaw seems pretty good and all, but where can I get a cat as cool as that? 😀

I mean honestly seems perfect for the situation with the little guy. My wife would get mad at me to 😂 Electric definitely has a time and place!

I'm impressed. Better to have it electric than battery for me. Batteries go dead and cost a lot when they need to be replaced. I believe it will hold up longer than you think. My grandfather bought one in the late 70's early 80's and I just used it a year or two ago. Now granted it wasn't used for cutting firewood all day but it did hold up. I have no idea what the brand even is.

Is the self sharpening chain holding up?

Thoughts on the Milwaukee m18 fuel saw? To match your impacts and drills. We’ve been enjoying the Dewalt ones.

What size gas chain saw would you compare that to?
