@nik6069 also, you are guaranteed that you won't have to spend more money on anything other than the games (like CPU, GPU, RAM or any expensive state-of-the-art part) and you will still benefit from an awesome experience with decent graphics. Plus, I like to play certain games on a big-ass TV, not on a small monitor that hurts my eyes. Also there is a multiplayer convinience here. It's hard for even two people to play co-op or split-screen, etc. on a PC. But I guess you aren't that social...

@nik6069 xbox live? ha, I only own a PS3, I don't wanna pay for shit online... and I also see that you believe that I'm a console-only gamer, I only use them because I wanted to play the great exclusive games, like infamous. I play stuff like Starcraft 2, WoW, Minecraft, etc. on the PC(fun stuff that don't need a 300$ graphics card) Most good games these days come out on consoles because many people can afford them, and that means that game producers and publishers will make more money.

@animeman99w Ive played the beta leak. The draw distances are low, water effects lack the wow factor (no caustics), particle effects and volumetric effects look inferior. Regarding gameplay, they reduced the number of weapons u can carry. You have to now switch to grenades to throw. Leaning and going prone has been removed. The destructability of the environment seems precalculated. Objects break the same way. Generally the game feels more like COD. Damn char limit, pm me if u want more details.

at least i was right about one thing:
that pc gamers absolutely dread lousy console-to-pc ports.
and this is relevant because crysis was one of the pride of pc gaming.
to have it ported from console is almost insulting.
crytek had better make an crysis 2 optimised for pc.
which means: it should not have trouble with sli/xfire settings, v-syncs and mouse movements. and support many native rez.
the pc demo just pure suck. 'press start to begin'....do you see a 'start' key?!

@CARBRINE ...I do understand you, Carbine, but my comment was only directed to all the brats that brag about their PCs online, Im not in any way seeking attention to bash the PC gamers, I have a gaming rig that allows me to play stuff like Crysis 2 on graphics that are almost on the highest setting. I only prefer playing it on a system that keeps me online with a list of friends that play the same stuff, on a TV, on a confortable couch in my living room. I just despise those kids on all the vids

TheXcessive is right.
but there are those non-console players who have mid-range rigs and have works and a life who likes crysis for the fact that, it was meant for pc.
pc gamers actually fear just one thing : a poor, rushed port from consoles.
and that being done to a game that has been motivating them to upgrade, overclock and maintain their pc is just sad.
pc gamers have this...vanity...
all they got are the pride of wide graphics range and (mostly bad) mods.

@pupitbackster, better controls is all personal preference. Faster connection doesn't depend what platform you use either, it all depends on your internet provider, and connection speed. Dedicated servers is correct, and a valid point. There is no on-line fees apart from DLC on the Playstation 3, but you have to pay on PC as well, there is however on the Xbox360.

But like I said, I do prefer PC gaming. But I also present and understand facts, and state them correctly.

@wickedroy The gameplay is a downgrade. Graphics looks better at some parts but worse in other parts. Overall draw distance is less. I've played the beta, the final game wont be much different. The screenshots i generated look way better than the crappy console and ps3 screenshots seen on many sites. Its a good game, just not as good as its predecessor.

@willypataponk, console is where gaming is heading, graphics are not everything in a game though, game-play is. They made a good decision by moving to consoles as well as PC, the fan-base will increase hugely. Also, don't judge me (just assuming with your PC "fanboyism"), because I am a PC gamer as well as console gamer. PC has better graphics, but that is all I see in it.

imagine in a big dark room with all ur teams and the other team all scattered and all u can see are red lasers. Holy fuck (shooting occurs) muzzles are flashing everywhere. WHere are THEY (bang One person comes out alive. :) Crysis 2 looks sick n I'm buying it.

@TheXcessive Superior resolution is more than just graphics. Its about picture clarity. Even a 2001 game at maximum resolution will look better than a 2011 game at low upscaled resolution. Its the difference between 20/20 vision and myopia.

@machstarfox well if you prefer blurry graphics or jagged edges then maybe you would prefer lower resolution, but i want my games to look crisp and clear.
