A follow up album to The Legacy, The New Order builds on its predecessor in many ways. Song writing wise and production quality wise. Mix wise this album had a severe lack of mids which pushed Chuck Billy's vocals below the guitar track. I boosted the low-end of the bass drum to get more meat out of the sound, and increased the 8khz shelf to add more clarity to the whole mix.

This actually gives me Master of Puppets vibe as far as the feel the production creates. The guitar sound is so much more clear. I can't understate how good this is.
Testament themselves will admit that their early albums, and this one in particular, have some of the best songs of their career but sadly suffer poor production for the most part. Testament is my favorite fuckin band in the world and this is how they deserve to sound. Nice work mate, from the heart.
