I think my knee pads make bowl skating so much more fun. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried them. You have to force yourself to knee slide a few times and then it becomes automatic quickly. Instead of running out and trying not to step on my board or trip up, I'm sliding down having a fun time.

"Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable" is a perfect phrase to sum up progressing at skating in general. The clipping was a little distracting, but the mic'd was really cool to hear you talking in the moment. Great tips. Cheers!

I really like the look of the no-lift line. Funny how such a little adjustment can add so much style

The use your hands tip! I love it, bowl skating is an expression of style etc. I'll try this more.

I can’t do any tricks on transition, I just carve and haul ass through the bowl and it’s super fun to me and great exercise! The 104a 60mm bones with Swiss bearings helps a lot too

The slo mo trick is a good way to describe the new 8 foot bowl close by us on the border (NM)…we are used to skating tight 4-5 ft backyard and DIY stuff with coping that sticks out…the new 8 foot bowl has kinda “vert ramp trannies”…I think they are 7.5 or 8…there is brand new slippery steel coping too- so just even for slashes it DOES feel “calmer” slo mo is a good way to explain it. At first I was going super aggro at it…then I started going like “calm” and trying to just hang onto banana peel fs grinds. And then TOO slow and was kinda almost hanging up….went back the second time and it’s kinda “medium” to feel good on it. We all old down here so everyone says it’s better on the knees than our usual spots.

I love how chill the music is. It goes really well with how smooth skating (such as your own) *looks* but contrasts quite a bit with how it *feels* haha, to me at least. my heart gets racing!

Appreciate this show and tell. really helpful to novice skaters (or even experienced skaters who are new to bowls).

This is great advice across different wheel sports too.

I always thought cess sliding was a term unique to aggressive inline. Thanks for the awesome video!

Can Ollie out of a bowl like a mad man but I never did learn tail slides. I know, there eazy 😅. Good directions. Not to worry about tricks and just carve out a line. Basics carving fundamentals 101. Class 1. Keep it up.
