The new Chill Season update is here in Splatoon 3! Theres new maps, new weapons, a whole new catalogue and of course... X battles. Let's see what this new content is all about and test my skills in X battles, if I can even unlock them first...

the snipewriter is the equivalent of throwing 4 foot long pencils at kids

The big swig is a support weapon. It isn't great at splatting people, but it's ink consumption is insanely low - You can roll it for almost twice as long as the other rollers without running out of ink!

It's good for turf war and maybe splat zones but not great for clam blitz and tower control. Just be happy you didn't get it in a salmon run shift like i once did...

The Nova and Big Swig weapons seem to fit the support role more than anything else. I have no idea why they gave Big Swig splash wall though

Jay, your rank will drop by roughly 2 every new season s+0 - s+9 drop to s and anything s+10 and up drops to s+0, that’s why people are saying you need to be s+10 to start x battles at the start of a season

I heard big swig described as like a reverse flingza, with a kill flick and an incredible ink tool horizontal as opposed to flingza's kill horizontal and incredible ink tool flick. I think that's is the most accurate description.

The splattershot nova is pretty decent if you have a co-operative team and use the point sensor liberally- definitely not a carry weapon though lol

5:43 The new roller is supposed act as a support roller that encourages platers to paint turf with the weapon. It's for players who want to cover turf wide and long. While it can cover turf, it lacks the swing damage of the average roller.
