MiSTer FPGA: How to Easily Upgrade to a New microSD Card!

MiSTer FPGA is a fantastic project I've reviewed previously which focuses on rebuilding retro computers, consoles, and arcade boards as cores for a modern FPGA. While a MiSTer setup is fun to use and easy to set up these days, you might find yourself needing more storage as you add more to your MiSTer build. Thankfully upgrading to a new microSD card and migrating all of your data is made easy thanks to the SD Card Migration Utility! This will walk through what the script does, how to set it up, and how to migrate all data from your old microSD card to a new one to get back up and running.

That's really cool. I'll try to remember this exists when I next upgrade the storage on my MiSTer.

Seems like a neat script. My 512GB SD card was getting pretty full, so I added a 1TB USB SSD to hold disc images (PS1, Saturn, PCE-CD, etc.) and larger roms (N64).

hum, having issue with the script. Runs but the new card doesn't seem to load and isn't readable on pc. Going to give it another go.
