Cut yarn leaving 10" (25 cm). Turn inside out. Pull MR close and wave in the tail. Place heel together matching up the stitches and darn together going trough top of the stitches. Wave in the tail. Turn the slipper inside out.

Top:
R0: Starting in the centre, Pull up a loop.
R1 - 5: Ch 1, FpDc around centre back stitch, 8 FpDc(side), 7 FpDc (front), 8 FpDc(side), sl st
Cut yarn. Pull tight. Close with invisible stitch weaving in end. Cut remaining yarn.

For Wider:
Rd 1 = 14 Dc
Rd 2 = 28 Dc
Rd 3 = 8 fpdc, 3 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 8 bpdc, 3 fpdc, 3 bpdc = 28 Dc
This will create a wider top and sole and keep the sides the same.

For More Narrow. Try decreasing the top and sole.

Sitting here this morning, making yet another pair of these awesome slippers and I noticed that you have 629 thumbs down. Seriously?! I can not imagine why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. I wish I could "like" it every time I come back to it! You explain everything so clearly and patiently. It's very easy to follow and understand, and the end result is AWESOME! This is, by far, the best slipper tutorial I have found on YouTube. Thank you so much (again) for this tutorial!

Omg!!! I LOVE this tutorial. I love the tone of your voice, the pace, the distance of the camera from the slipper and I especially appreciated how you slowed down to show us how to advance through every step. I’m a visual learner, as most of us are, and I found this video extremely easy to follow. As a retired teacher, I can say that this is a perfect instructional tool. I can’t wait to buy my chunky yarn and get started!!! You have a new subscriber!!!

i wrote the pattern the best way i could - hope that helps. Thanks again, last minute Christmas gifts completed :) <3
Magic loop - make 1 chain, than 13 DCs.
Slip knot on the top of 1st DC. Chain 1
2nd row
2DCs in each DC = 26 DCs.
slip knot in first DC.
3rd row
Chain 1.
7 Front Post Double Crochet, 3 Back Post DC, 3 FPDC,
7 Back post DC, 3 Front post DC, 3 Back post DC
Slip stitch in 1st FPDC
Repeat row 3 - row 4 to 12th (until it reaches the arch of the foot)

Row 13 - stop before the 7fpdc, chain 3 and turn 2fpdc, 3 bpdc, 7 fpdc, 3 bpdc 2 fpdc turn and repeat for 8 times
work back and forth only the sides and the bottom,

row 19 - decrease the 7 fpdc - on both sides, 2 together, 3 FPDC and 2 FPDC together, continue sides and then decrease one more time - you’ll have 3 in the middle. Darn the sides.
From the midddle in the back chain 1 and pick up the FPDCs until you reach at the front - in the corner make 1 FPDC and continue with the 7 FPDCs for the front, FPDC in the corner and continue FPDCs along - slip stitch to join.
Next 4 or 5 rows as you wish continue with the FPDCs

I love these slippers -- I've made over 50 of them and gave them away as Christmas presents to family and my husband and sons co workers -- they all love them and brag about how they help their aching feet after working hard all day .Thank you for this pattern -- it is a massage with warmth and softness. Love them.

I made them and I love them, thank you so much for sharing! The pattern is super easy and I finished one slipper in about 2 hours. Thank you for the advice on how to fit them to my foot, it was very helpful! However, I followed the pattern (using a 6.5 hook because I don't have a 6, but I did use the same size yarn) and they were uncomfortably tight on my size 8 feet (when the pattern says it will fit size 7-9). I recommend adding one row for each half-size up from 7.5 for a comfortable fit. For my final slippers, I did 13 rows in the beginning instead of 12 rows. They are still snug and I wouldn't have minded adding one more row, but they are not uncomfortable.

I made 14 pairs of these for Christmas gifts, everyone loved them!. Thanks for a great, easy, quick pattern. The slippers turn out looking "store bought", everyone was amazed I made them.

I made myself a pair of these slippers around Christmas. I Love them. They are so comfortable. The sole is so thick that you don’t feel the cold floor at all. I ended up making 7more pair for family members. Everyone loves them, even former non-slipper wearers.
I am a knitter, so this was my first crochet project. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!!

Wonderful instructions. Clear and easy to follow. I'm now in my 60s and the last time I had my crochet hook in action was making a poncho in Mt teens. I am so delighted with the slippers and I'm getting orders from all the family now!. Thank you so much. Definitely thumbs up from me.

Thank you for this Awesome tutorial!!
Just made my first pair for my toddler. They came out perfect! Tutorial was easy to follow along with. I made adjustments with yarn and hook to get the size I needed.
Used #4 yarn with a 3.5mm hook to make a toddler size 6.

For the first time ever, my husband asked me to make him something, a pair of slippers. He's surprised at how comfy these slippers are--he keeps saying "it's like walking on thick carpet!" even on concrete floors. THANK YOU!

I've been searching a number of sites and this is by far has the most explicit pictures and instructions. Stephanie you made crocheting such a fun experience for the novice crocheter!! I made my first slipper and with some stopping and starting the tuitorial I was able to complete a slipper. Now on to its match!! I'm so happy with the results.

I learned to crochet after I retired in 2016. I dabbled in it a little during the pandemic shutdown and a lot more over the last couple of years while going through a couple of cancer surgeries and treatments. Recently, while fighting my 4th COVID breakthrough during the 2023 Christmas holidays, I decided it was time for this rookie to tackle something more challenging. I'm so glad I pick this pattern. Thanks Stephanie for posting this video and project. It's really boosted my crocheting confidence. These slippers feel like I'm walking on clouds.
