Big Trouble In The Little Ice Age

Climate alarmists downplay or dismiss the Little Ice Age, like the Medieval Warm Period before it, because its existence shows first that temperatures fluctuate naturally and always have, and second that much or most of the specific warming since 1850 has nothing to do with human beings. But in this Climate Discussion Nexus "Backgrounder" video Dr. John Robson shows not only that abundant evidence demonstrates that the Little Ice Age was very real and occurred across much of the globe, but that the cooling after the early 14th century brought a marked deterioration in weather and a rise in crop failures, whereas climate orthodoxy says warming would cause such things.

I am a New Zealander, on the other side of the world to the European Little Ice Age and Medieval Warm Periods. Maoris migrated to New Zealand during the Medieval Warm Period due to population explosions on the tropical islands. Maoris abandoned the South Island during the Little Ice Age because snow on the ground is a problem if you haven't invented shoes. So much for both periods being "local" effects. They were clearly global effects. Also warming was great for the population!

Well done John! Consider doing something similar for the time period known as the Roman Warm Period. I'm sure that there's sufficient actual scientific evidence and anecdotal evidence to support the actual existence of that warm period in time. I recall reading in a newspaper back in the 1980's of the discovery of an "Alpine home" that was exposed by a retreating Alpine glacier. It was thought to have been built in either the Medieval or Roman warm periods when glaciers were also higher up the mountain valleys. As stated in the old TV show The X Files. "The Truth Is Out There" holds true for climate science also.

In the 70s we were taught in primary school we were heading into a new ice age and as a child then we were scared out of our minds I can only imagine how the younger generation are now petrified
