Ratchets that fail in a year are a definite no-go for me. They may ferl good, but I have ratchets from the 1960's that have never failed.

I haven't bought anything from a tool truck in 20 years, since it has been about that long since I worked in a shop. Other than the price I have never disliked anything I bought from SnapOn. Other than a couple of things I never cared much for Matco. I hated the ratcheting screwdriver I bought from Matco back in the 80s, but SnapOn ratcheting screwdrivers have been great and I think I have 4 or 5 of them. Back in my earlier days of buying tools when I was starting out Matco and SnapOn were the only tool truck options in my area. And there weren't many other options either. Harbor Freight retail stores weren't a thing though I did order some things through the mail from a catalog (no internet either). The closest Sears store with a tool department was a little over 3 hours away. I did buy quite a bit of Craftsman stuff though and would just keep a collection of broken stuff to exchange when I went there a couple times a year. There weren't any big box stores with tools at all in my area. Auto parts stores were about the only places with decent tools and those were pricey.

I never ran up any big bills on the tools trucks and my tool boxes were usually Craftsman and did the job I needed them to do. Now that I don't work in a shop doing repairs and exchanges is a big pain because I have to track down the tool trucks when they are in my area.

The airlift is a sore subject with me right now. My guy said he can no longer get parts for mine. Granted I have had for over 10 years now. I just can’t see paying well over $200 again.

Sending you positive energy Justin. You are the OG. Hope you get back to a good independent shop. You should find someone who is looking to open an IND. shop. You were gettting up there with Jeep. Hoping you get back in it, have a lot of experience.

Justin I am begging you...please just go places and film the discount tools and talk about how great they are. The recent Tractor Supply video with the Jobsmart tools was probably the best video I watched all month

I do like their ratchets but i like Snap-on, SK, Cornwell and Gearwrench ratchets too but the Matco ratchets are the only ones that constantly fail which is why i stopped using them. If i have to get it fixed 2 times a year I'll just use something else

This has to be a first for me. Anybody even comparing matco to snap on on the hammer gun I used it when I was in the trash company. Biggest paperweight I had bought me a Snap-On never looked back

I did my front brakes today and broke my Husky 1/2" drive flex swivel. Guess the angle wasn't friendly to it using my impact. I'll be looking for some impact swivel sockets. Love your channel and good luck with the job search!

But 1/2 inch air impact the matco is strong but the snapon is stronger I got both they are around 5 years old bought at the same time and I've had some ball joints the matco was struggling with couldn't move but the snapon had no trouble I had to replace leaf springs in a old rusty farm truck and you know the bolts do seize in the bushing matco couldn't do it but snapon took them out the matco is a little shorter so it can get into tighter spots

Our local Matco truck is a barren wasteland. Literally empty, with the exception of some used tools. We ask him why he even keeps updated flyers when he never ever has any of it.

If a tool truck distributes the flyers they absolutely have to have at least some of those things on the stinking truck!!!’
