Los Angeles lawmakers voted to draft a new law that would enshrine a “wildlife corridor” in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains, aiming to ensure that coyotes, bobcats and other wild animals are not cut off from stretches of their habitat by new homes or other development. Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife, Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, Mountains Conservation Authority are the among the groups behind the ordinance.
