The referee for this fight was terrible. After the iligal up kick in the 2nd round instead of putting them back in the same position the fighter work so hard to get he made them re start the fight standing.


Thats why Jason herzog is the best referee nowadays, he was confronted to a semilar situation and he made the right decision of putting both fighter pack to the position they were before the time top from the ref.

The biased decision is disgusting. Lee Jung-young was lying on the floor throughout the third round, but I can't believe it. Is it human conscience to call out Topuria Holloway Volkanovsky after barely winning a biased decision?It doesn't last long with UFC either.

Normally I would say control time with no effective grappling or ground and pound wouldn't mean too much, but considering neither were wounded really and the striking on the feet was fairly non eventful in the sense that Lee was getting the better but nothing really damaging or extreme volume-esk was being displayed; I think the control time would have to be considered more within a decision. Zha was prolly the proper winner, shame.
Edit: If Aldo lost because he didn't do anything against Merab holding him, then the same is for Lee. It's not a case like RD 2 of Shevchenko vs Santos where Shevchenko was out-striking and threatening a submissin on Santos, even though she wasn't getting the control time. Lee was equally not doing anything, just minus control time.
