Update again.... We are using this onstage and it is washing out of all the costumes perfectly!!! That being said, the director didn't like the blood being so dark, so I took my own hand and replaced almost all the Hershey's with Karo. I tested the limit as to the ratio of just how much red food coloring I could use and still have it wash out of the costumes. The actress who got the blood dumped over her head took it in her eyes and I realized the ratio of dish soap was a bit too high as her eyes were burning (we are doing Carrie). I still wanted the blood to be a little brownish, after all it IS pig's blood and it's not a fresh cut, so here is what I ended up creating based on the original recipe and taking into account the actress' eyes and is still is washing out and it sticks to the skin and not staining the skin either, it washes right off the skin and the stage too. We used this amount in our bucket each night...
52 OZ. BATCH:
KARO LIGHT CORN SYRUP 48 0Z. PLUS A LITTLE EXTRA IF NEEDED AT THE END
4 OZ. IVORY SOAP IS ENOUGH TO HAVE IT WASH OUT OF COSTUMES
¼ CUP RED FOOD COLORING + maybe 1 TBS.
¼ CUP HERSHEY SYRUP TO GET IT A BIT MORE OPAQUE AND TO HELP IT SHOW UP ON SKIN
YOU CAN ADD A BIT OF BLUE FOOD COLORING (DID ABOUT 5-7 DROPS) TO GIVE IT A MORE BROWN COLOR IF YOU WANT
DO NOT ADD WATER AS IT WILL MAKE THE SOAP BUBBLE AND THE MIXUTRE WILL BE WAY TOO THIN

Update. I made this and it did not stain my test fabric which was a white tshirt. It washed right off my hands. Then I rubbed it on my face making sure I got I rubbed it over my eyes as we are going to use this to dump over Carrie's head on the stage for Carrie. It did not sting my eyes one bit. When I went to wash my face it stung a little, so I just washed it fast. I have very sensitive eyes. I bet if I knew what that "tear mixture" is this would not sting at all. It really looks like real blood! Thanks for the video!!!

This is not "Non staining" the chocolate does stain if not washed immediately.

This stuff is awesome. The only thing I have to add is be prepared to add a LOT of red food colouring. (I did the recipe X5 and I had to use about 5 things of liquid food colouring). I used this as a prop in my bathtub for Halloween and it looked just like blood. I was a bit worried when it started solidifying around the edges, but it washed out with just water. Will use again, 100%.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR AGES!!! Just 2 things
1. Wil it wash out of colored cotton or polyester cuz I’m going as ghostbur.
2. Are you able to switch around the coloring proportions so that the blood will become blue?
