Your opinion on finishing the ceiling under a second story deck done with Dexerdry? Do you trust that product enough to install a tongue and groove ceiling with can lights underneath that product? Possibly a waterproof barrier tacked up under the tongue and groove.

I have a question about framing for a "picture-frame" look. If using 2 planks width, what is the space between joists? I do a double rim joist so my distance is 12-3/4" between outside of rim joist to inside of next joist.

I don’t trust ledger boards, I like to add posts two feet away from the house.

To layout deck, is nominal 6" width used to calculate number of rows?

You have a great channel, lots of content. Most of your content seems to be more like tips. Most of it seems to be progress.

You should do more tutorials. A deck start to finish.

Squaring up and aying out the footers, figuring the length of the posts, house band, framing, how and where to start your first deck board.

Then repeat, each deck is unique, different challenges.

Maybe you already have.
