Freshman Year is a story of CJ, who is a preacher’s son and a basketball player. His path intertwines with Marcella, a cheerleader and the first in her family to attend college. CJ and Marcella both leave their sheltered homes and different backgrounds, to face the real world of battling peer pressure, and falling in love. Their freshman year takes a different turn, when a life-altering decision threatens to halt their dreams and disappoint their families. This film shows the fun, freedom, and friendships of college life. The movie reveals real-life scenarios facing students, and the challenges they encounter when standing up for their faith.

I love the way they kept the movie in perspective . The good : believing in God and staying true to God/ have Faith, bad (when we try to do things on our own instead of trusting God knowing there are consequences to our choices and the ugly: abortion. Yeah, many were put in that situation and many chose one of the options. However, God does and will forgive if wet confess or sins and give it to Him. Truly everyone's ending is not like this one but some Gods live will always remain the same as His grace, mercy and truth.
I enjoyed this movie and could use it for a great teaching tool.
All praises to God and to those that have and Erik experience this.... You are never alone and you are loved by the best... Jesus.

I have doubts, So when the baby was born Devvon and his friends came to bring flower and stuff but when devvon said “ don’t worry we are a team” devvon friends expression making me think that devvon is really the dad and because of the way he said it. Somebody tell me the truth lol

Okay but, where did they get the baby-

Good movie…..but details matter. She never showed before she had the baby. Then the baby they used look more like 6 months old versus a newborn at the hospital.

Let me guess two different backgrounds they fall in love freshman year she temps. Him into a relationship they make love then she gets pregnant! His family you’re a church boy with a set future his folks why would you even be with her, her folks this was your way to a better life then you get knocked up mehah the trailers tells it all!

Doubtful this qualifies as a Christian film ? Father is a Pastor, son goes off to college drinks alcohol goes back to the dorm with his GF inpregnates her, okay, these things happen understood, then he breaks the news to his pastor father, he invites the girl to stay there in the home until the baby arrives, very kind gesture, but never once is there any discussion of marriage, later after birth of healthy baby granddaughter, he takes all to his church to proudly introduce his new baby granddaughter and her unwed parents to the congregation. Since when does God approve unwed couples living in a state of fornication ? and apparently the the quote Christian Pastor does, (obviously hasnt been reading his Bible) oh so proud and never once a mention that they should wed. I ask you what kinda pastor is that ? and what kinda Christian film is this ? an anti- biblical ? messages pushed are not on line with scripture thats forsure.
