I'm also a huge fan of the Indian places in Osaka. Highly recommend Manakamana and Delhi Indian Nepal. Two places I frequent because the staff is so friendly and the food is amazing.

Sketchy in Japan has a very different meaning than sketchy in the US

this is actually a known rule in both the us and Japan that if a place looks extremely sketchy and rundown but it still has people coming to it you know your about to eat the best food in your life

Oh my god this is so true. I remember late at night once, in Nagano, we were trying to get some food and the shopping center was still open, but everything in it was shut. The lifts were turned off or something so we ended up having to go up these weird backstairs that a woman guided us to, and when we reached the top she opened a massive locked iron gate to reveal a completely empty restaurant. Best katsu I’ve ever had.

The best meal I had in my life was at an indian restaurant in Japan 5 years ago, it looked exactly like yours, it almost made me cry 😂

Yeah, some of the poorer areas in the north of England have some really nice food for very cheap, and the owners are usually very friendly and get to know you.

We went to a Indian restaurant in Japan for the heck of it. It was soo good and free naan bread refill. We were supposed to go to ramen museum afterwords LOL

When you said indian food is your fav food to find in japan I kinda get it, the first time I went there, the first food I ate was an Indian food by a family runt restaurant in osaka. So delicious

That Naan !! Made me drooling 🤤 and when combined with the Chicken Tikka Masala or Chicken Butter Masala it’s paradise on earth

This is Osaka Ekimae Building 1, not sketchy and famous for great food/bars. I think you just went at a weird time or on a weekend, during the weekdays it is filled with Salarymen. If any of you are in Osaka definitely check it out.
