CVTs are not meant for foot to the floor acceleration if you don’t want the revs just sticking on the red line. I think its that aspect that puts a lot of people off, but driven normally and matching engine speed to revs, CVT are the best. Seriously, its not about speed its about efficient relaxing progress. A misunderstood transmission that seems to fool 99% of drivers as to what their designed purpose is.

The acceleration is horrendous. Not just the lack of it but that sound like you are trashing a 1994 Corsa 1.0
