Dripping Springs (NM): EZ hike

Dripping Springs—as well as the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument Visitor Center—is on the western side of the Organ Mountains. The trailhead is a short 13-mile drive from Las Cruces, NM (near the Visitor Center). Dripping Springs is a relatively easy 3-mile round-trip hike. The highlight is the old-west ruins near the dry springs. As a bonus, consider the less than a mile loop to La Cueva (the cave) to see the home of the Healing Hermit (Giovanni Maria de Agostini).
