I am 73 years old, when I was in high school I used to heat Vaseline in a double boiler, until it wad just barley melted then apply it to my hands & put on cotton gloves & sleep in them. It was called “skin care la hot”

I also add salt (fine grains) and you can add olive oil or castor oil for deep moisturizing. It also lightens and removes age spots.

Vaseline has petroleum in it. Baking soda contains aluminum unless you specifically buy aluminum free at health food store. Anything topically applied to the skin is absorbed by the body so you've lost all credibility with me. I'm 63 and I look 40 or younger (on a good day :)). I don't use sunscreen, hand sanitizer, or anything else toxic. I wear a hat in summer and long flowy natural cotton to cover up my arms if it's sunny and hot. I use grass fed tallow/ghee or unrefined, organic, cold pressed coconut oil on my face and body. Quick fixes like the one you're suggesting can make things appear smooth for awhile but I guarantee that in the long run you're doing damage - also topical fixes are no substitute for eating raw, organic vegetables and organic meat. If you wouldn't eat something - you sure don't want it on your skin.
