Sony A7iii Is Still Crushing It In 2020! - Should You Buy One?

This is a long term review from experience. Or you could call it an appreciation post. Either way, I have been very happy with the Sony a7iii for the last 2 years and I still think it's an amazing camera going forward into 2020!

the a7iii is my camera since 2018 and still going strong, i love it and there's no reason to upgrade because it does everything i need and more

The Sony A7III is my first Sony camera coming from Canon for over two decades. I just love my camera, I bought a few lenses. I feel that there are features that I still haven't learn. At work I have the R7IV which is another great camera. Great video, thank you for sharing.

I’m still loving my a7iii. I rock the 16-35 F4, Sony’s 85 1.8 and the sigma 24 1.4. Like you I have yet to be let down!

I used to have an A7iii and i actually switched to Fuji. Don't get me wrong i love my X-H1 and XT-3 but the lens options for Fuji is certainly tempting me to go back to either an A7iii or A7RIII for my main photo camera, while still using the Fuji for better video capabilities.

I just love my a7iii for photos. I use it mostly for photos and live streaming. I don't use it much to record video so the video specs don't much matter to me. My biggest gripe is the cost of the lenses. I know they are great but I'm an enthusiast photographer and I find the prices hard to justify. The good news is there are some solid 3rd party lenses for this. Thanks so much for the video.

I agree with everything you said Lee. My main setup is the A7III, 55mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8 and Tamron 28-75mm. Great quality for not much money makes this camera and lens combo an awesome tool. I keep my Fuji for everyday and vacation use.

The a7iii battery life is insane and just fantastic for traveling. I'm very glad i bought this over an a7rii and while the lenses aren't cheap, I've taken some time to slowly build up what I have.

Yup - picked one up in January with a Tamron 28-75 F2.8. Upgraded from an a6300 and it’s awesome

I switched to Sony about a month ago and I purchased the "old" cameras used. My main camera is the A9 with the A7iii as my backup. I do like that the battery grip is interchangeable between the two. Not really interested in a 2020 released camera for the moment. I'm too busy improving my photography with these wonderful cameras.

Have A7III. Got an A7RIV because that would be twice as awesome, right? Nope. Still use the A7III. Way better in low light. Files are easier to work with in post because they aren’t so ginormous. Sony got that camera right.

I currently use the A7 III and the tamron 28-75 as my go to setup and mannnn I love it. So it's nice to know that the mark III is still getting some love

Hear hear Lee. I use 7R3. Got two to minimize downtime if one goes bananas. But the camera... just love it.They run flawless. Never had problems and have the best OOC RAW colors on the market.
What's not to love.
