This is quickly becoming the most useful and least subjective, brand independent source for camera tech reviews and solutions

Gerald, you have quickly become my go-to video resource. I seriously love your videos! You do such a good job of presenting complex information in a concise and easy to understand manner, and more than that I trust the information you give. Thank you for cutting through the BS, and making the content that you do.

MYTH BUSTED! - great one dude. On a side note. I had 2 Amazon basics hdmi cables in a row that crapped out on me. Only used them 2 times or so and it felt like a physical issue where when I would wiggle the cable it would continually disconnect. Bought a Ugreen one and it worked great. Maybe it was a fluke but I thought it was weird that it was on 2 cables.

Spent a whole 3 hours searching for a way around atomos' 85$ hdmi cable. Could have just watched the first half of this video... Thanks Gerald. Super quick, understandable and easy explanation.

I really love how Gerald explains things. and important things that anyone learning about video especially or photography needs to know, about the digital side of things. Good job. He speaks so fast, my intelligence has had to catch up. For a while I needed to slow down the audio to about 75% or normal speed. Occasionally I still do, but its worth it. This man has good content - no gimmicks, and is a trusted Youtuber... Definitely one of my favorite Ytubers...

This is the best HDMI information specific video I have ever seen. It is also the only one, but I’m glad it exists.

Thanks for explaining the mysteries of HDMI along with your recommendations, all very helpful. The content of your video is just great. As for entertainment, what looks like a one take flawless oratory delivered with every word clear, making understandable sentences, and at pace, is a talent and rare on any topic let alone technical subjects that you tackle and coupled to art, what's not like, very entertaining. And no heavy guitar, like close quarter artillery letting go, scattering song birds never to return. Cheers very well done.

Wow I've been in the industry since 2015 and didn't know this about HDMI cables! Used to use SDI when I was in news but now HDMI for my marketing job. Thanks for the info!

You cover the most interesting topics and explain things that confuse me most. Nikon Z6 specifications, comparison with A7 iii, external monitors and finally HDMI cable to connect these devices. Love your channel. Thank you, Gerald.

It's funny that you come out with this video
I just purchased a 55" 4K UHD LG TV last week
I had a 4-year-old HDMI cable and hooked it to my NVIDIA 1080 TI video card from my X299 computer and could NOT get 4K
I could only get 1920x1080 so I was scratching my head trying to figure out why I wasn't getting true 4K
After much research, I decided to purchase a New HDMI 4k cable off Amazon and guess what
I now get 4K UHD from my computer to my New LG TV
Thank you for this video
I didn't know there was a difference in HDMI cables

Regards, Rick
