Doubled The Value Of My Cheap Ferrari- Gated Manual Swap First Drive!

We have been waiting for this since I bought this Ferrari 360 Modena back in March! After getting the manual swap completed and the video out the next day, I couldn't leave you guys hanging with those terrible nighttime clips at the end. So I wrangled a crew and took the car up to some of my favorite roads in SoCal to give you some gated manual goodness!

@pennzoil 5w40 Euro Platinum Synthetic has been keeping all of my cars running great. The 360 has an 8,500 rpm rev limited and I want to do my best to protect this engine so I trust in my Pennzoil. #longmaywedrive #pennzoilpartner

Pro tip: to not slosh your oil when you pour, make sure the spout is at the top, and the curved portion is at the bottom, it allows air in and doesn't slosh and spill. Then as you pour just turn the bottle.

id just like to point out that you dropped this at the same time as a dde main channel vlog, and i decided to watch this first. ballast bois for life.

Edit since the replies are pretty shit:
I meant nothing against dde. I watch their videos daily, and I am a fan. I was just sharing a compliment towards vin.

"It's like a Honda" my favorite analogies are accurate yet unhinged, but it's naturally aspirated, high revving, manual, bad noise/speed ratio, looks good just lowered with wheels, really good analogy hahahaha

To be fair, Ferrari was the first company to bring a paddle shifted manual to the consumer market. This technology was a direct result of the R&D of their F1 team. That was the allure to the customers at the time, to have an F1 style experience when shifting gears. The paddle shifted manual made its debut in the last years of the 355. The gated manual was available each year, making the F1 cars more rare. They gained in popularity in the 360 and was the only transmission option for the Enzo.

"Speed Could never replace the feeling of high rpm."
Truer words are rarely spoken about the hobby. A K-code 289 in a Shelby Cobra or GT350; Boss 302 or a Z28. The eighties Lotus Espirit turbo, road cars with manual transmissions and an eight grand plus decline are almost a universal favorite with any car enthusiast. Vin is proud to sing the songs of our people. Thanky, Vin.

I've owned a 1983 Ferrari 308 since the late 90's and I have to regularly explain to other people why I love it so much. The gated manual is the greatest thing you can experience if you think you're a 'driver'. My car isn't even close in speed to your average modern Ford Focus but the noise it makes and the gear changes mean I'll never let it go. I think you'll have the same problem now your 360 is a manual. I've had Porsches that have come and gone but the Ferrari remains.

What I love most about this channel is no clickbait titles. You read the title you know what you're getting.

Something people don’t remember. The stock transmission in cars years ago was always a manual transmission. It was always an upgrade to get an automatic transmission.
So of course, Ferrari wanting to be premium, spent all that money to make that F1 automatic gearbox
I completely agree with you. An actual manual shifting car is so much better for a real driver.

14:42 Ah, the unmistakable sound of the disappointed peacock squawking at Vin as he attempts to add Pennzoil without causing a spill.

I’ll forever think, “you’re just milking a cow.” 🤣

“I don’t care about a rock.”
“Driver cars are the way.”
This is 100% spot on. I can respect people who keep a low mile car clean and preserved - those have their place. I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. I built my 2000 LS1/T56 Firebird Formula with the intention of putting as many miles on it as possible.

Thanks for this video, Vin! Love seeing you enjoying the 360 more and more with every mod.

Seeing all your favorite youtubers making solo channels is such a W with all the sick content.

The monologue starting around 2:10 feels like a perfect set up to Drivers Era. Without knowing what to expect it leaves me in anticipation to learn more. Love the content!

I always liked the F430 more than the F360, but seeing how good you made this one look, with tasteful bolt on mods (and some leather dye), is making me reassess my personal taste. I don't even mind the Camry paint color as much now.
