What are the size light bulbs that you need?

Important to note: this only works on 2000-2002 Models. 2003 and newer instrument clusters are different

Can the VIN tell you whether there are replaceable bulbs inside or the bulbs were soldered in? I have a 2004 Yukon SLT. Thank you for the great videos. I hope your business is doing spectacular!

Good video, but my '04 Suburban is not like this. You have to remove the front clear cover & then pull all the instrument needles off & access the bulbs from the front of the panel. The bulbs are actually soldered to the circuit board. I wish mine were this easy to change!

For years of 03 or newer you will have to desolder old bulbs and solder new ones one. To my knowledge the bulbs are 3mm. But there could be another size like how the 02s run t10 and t5. There’s a chance mine runs 3mm and 8mm

I have a 2005 Silverado z71, and the gear indicator is no loner showing. Is this a burnt bulb that I can just replace this same way?

The suburban has a different set up for the lights required soldering them off and soldering them back on

My check engine light is probably burned out because it doesn't come on at all even with the key turned on but not to start, but I don't care because I'm in Floriduh and we have no car inspection.

My Tahoe is a late 2002 . Built 9-02 to be exact and my instrument panel has no bulbs. Bummer, looks like I gotta solder em in.

I know this is an old video, but not sure anyone monitors it... All of my instrument cluster lights are out. I find it unlikely that all of the bulbs would go out at the same time. Should I be chasing another trouble? Saw another video on the actual light switch and thinking it may be that. Taking stuff apart now, looking for a working voltmeter... My vehicle is a 2002 Suburban, so all of this seems to apply. My PRNDL display and odometer were the first to go, long before the cluster lights. I may need a new cluster, but I really want to know what my mileage is - if it is still there. Saw a video on how to solder the connections on that, so I'll be trying that as well. This truck has been a rockstar for me. Has never left me on the side of the road and very few issues - none outside of normal wear and tear. They don't make them like this anymore.
