Yup, if you're on a budget Traktor is the better option. All Serato updates are free too. The updates might not seem as big as the Traktor updates, but Serato has updated, upgraded and added so many features since i bought it years ago.

I like these headphones a lot. I use 2 pairs: the Pioneer HDJ-2000 and my Sennheiser HD 25-1 2 (my favorite). Both pairs can be played loud with no distortion.

It comes down to personal preference because both Serato and Traktor are top of the line when it comes to digital vinyl systems. If you are into traditional DJ'ing and turntablism, i feel that Serato is perfect. Basic layout with more of a 'turntable look' to it and all the functions you need to do your thing in a club or during a show.
Traktor has more features and to me it felt like it is more for DJ's who want to do live remixing and add extra controllers and use multiple loops and samples

Hi guys,

I've been extremely busy with different projects, gigs and private life and as a result I was not able to make new video's in the last two weeks. I'm back in the lab right now and the new video's are dropping asap!

Thanks for the support and patience.

Serato Itch is more basic, but it works very well! Traktor has more functions, but in combination with my NS7 i am very happy with Serato Itch. Again it comes down to personal preference. I also love the fact that i can play my videos with Scratch Live and Itch.

I'm using Vestax PDX 3000 turntables in this video. I also use Numark TTX turntables and (of course) i have my Technics SL12000's. The PDX3000 and the TTX are both very good alternative turntables.

The V7 is a dedicated Serato Itch controller, but there is an easy way to use it for any dvs too. For instance: if you want to use the V7's with Traktor Scratch Pro, you just rip the time code signal from the timecode cd and play that wav file on both decks in Serato Itch. You then connect the outputs of the V7's to the input of the Traktor soundcard and Traktor will receive the timecode signal. If this is confusing you can type V7 Traktor on youtube and find a video tutorial.

It was in the description. The DJ stand is from a brand called Proud DJ. At least i think it is because that's what the sticker says ;) I couldn't find any info online. I bought two from a guy at a DJ summit here in The Netherlands

With Traktor it also depends on the controller. I tried Traktor with third party controllers (Denon, Reloop and Pioneer) and it didn't function the way it should. I had trouble from the moment i connected the controllers. I had to adjust a lot of settings to make it work (a bit). With the Itch controllers it always worked 100% straight out the box. Somehow i think Traktor works a lot better when you use it with a Native Instruments controller like the S4.

I need those to properly test the DJM-T1 mixer. I want to learn more about traktor because i want to be able to test all kinds of controllers, including the dedicated traktor controllers.

Thanks! The Classic Cutterz drops were custom made by DJ Manie (Classic Cutterz). You'll be seeing all my sets come through in the coming vidz. The 909 is still in the house for sure! The ttx's are still here too! :)

I have the T1 here, but i haven't had the chance to test it because Traktor was not doing what it was supposed to do (all kinds of errors). I will still do that test and drop a video.

I still prefer a mixer with onboard effects though. I love my Vestax PMC05 Pro4 for the midi functionality, but i'm still waiting for a top quility scratch mixer with onboard effects and midi. When they first announced the T1 i though it would be like the DJM909 with dvs funcionality so i was a bit disappointed.
