10th Ed: "Every detachment only gets access to 6 stratagems".
Aeldari: "So we found a way to get 12 stratagems."

Depending on how flickerjump will be worded, warp spiders might be able to move 26 inches, and then charge with Lykos. Fun times for everyone :)

As an eldar player I'm so glad they are doing away with fate-dice as the core mechanic

Me as a Tau Fan raising my hand out for a high five while zooming across the battlefield: Speed?
My Eldar brethren breaking the speed of sound to high five me as they pass me by: SPEED

These look like VERY fun abilities!

I'm glad theyre getting rid of "Actually I skip this and pick what I want" as as FACTION core mechanic in a game focused on dice-rolling

I absolutely love this, looks so much more fun and interactive than fate dice. I can't wait to play with it. Star engines makes the grotmas detachment make even less sense than it already did lol, literally no one is going to use that detachment ever.

Anyone thought about the possibility of a wave serpent moving up to 21 inches, then disembarking 5 wraithguard with a spiritseer and unloading wraithcannons into the enemy

My iyanden force approves lol

I can see fade back getting used a lot to *fade forward* wall of wraithblades up the table.

I only have one 40k army ... Craftworld Aeldari. When 10th edition came out, they were so broken that a lot of people didn't want to play against me at all after a single game, and honestly, I'm NOT a very good player to begin with. I didn't win every single game, and at least twice I experienced how the players who beat me were ... snarky ... to say the least. As if it was somehow my personal fault that Aeldari were so overpowered. It was kinda like "hah hah, in your face. Sucks to be you, doesn't it?!" ... and this from people who are normally really nice people and good opponents in every other game.

In the end, I genuinely gave up on the game, after about the twentieth time I had to listen to a new opponent go on a twenty minute rant about how grotesquely unfair fate dice were and how horribly it broke the game and how unfair it was, and how "shenanigans" was the only reason the Aeldari won anything and yadda yadda bloody yadda.

I got so sick of it, I just didn't want to play anymore, and I haven't for about a year. I moved on to other games instead.

It does sound like I -might- be willing to give them another go once the codex drops, though, now that fate-dice are gone and replaced with something else. Maybe. Honestly, I still feel uncomfortable about even trying, but maybe ...

This is going to be an army rule that is going to be fine in the hands of an average player, oppressive and unfun with someone who knows what they are doing, leading to a few months of heavily skewed winrates for the faction at tournaments and then heavy nerfs that ruin the faction for a casual player. I hope I'm wrong but its hard to be excited it.

Great return to the high skill cap Eldar play style. So fluffy

"Can't catch me! I'm the gingerbread man!" -Eldar players soon. Probably.

The fate dice mechanic was pretty feels-bad to play against, so this seems like a much more interesting and fun mechanic that does look liek it could be fun to fight against. Movement shenanigans are much better and more fun game design than "i just do better than you" by eliminating the one random element of the game. I like this a lot more

If i'm getting this right, that tank boost is crazy - being able to run up to 22" with a falcon and having fire dragons drop out with melta, or dropping a melee payload right in the enemies face is pretty nasty. Hard to play around a threat range that big!

Right on time for the Combat Patrol subscription models to start rolling in as well!

Here's something that should probs be talked about in FAQs, whether the fade back maneuver could be used in tandem with the Wraithguard's ability to fire back at things that have shot them. And whether it would be a move move shoot, or a move shoot move.

Sounds like it's going to be very powerful in the hands of a very good player... This will be a problem for the normal guy at the store. So when it's nerfed, the win rate difference between tourneys and store play will be huge (I expect)

Good. Not an autopilot army anymore. It will require lots of skill to use, but will slap hard if you know what you're doing.
