makes me think about my relapses and what i felt in those moments. the promises i made even though i knew i will break them later on when I'll hit rock bottom. how i almost always know what I'm doing and i still do it coz in that moment that feels like the best decision to make.

This reminds me of my SH issues. From the age of 10 (I’m 16 now) I believed that I needed to hurt. I had my worst relapse around 5 months ago, with scars thick and red to remind me of my mistakes. Like drinking in this song, SH has felt like a family reunion, one I’m in control of. But then I leave it for a while and later come back to it when I need stability. When I was Christian, there was definitely that feeling of feeling cursed by God rather than the devil. This song feels like a representation of how it feels to be stuck in the self harming part of my life cycle
