And yet, she still needed to make a separate short just to warn people not to announce ahead of time that they were applying.

It's a year later, but when Vshojo opened up for auditions, I remember seeing a vtuber applying LIVE ON STREAM for it. I think she even clipped part of that stream and used it as a video submitted with the application. This short was running through my head the entire time.

I love this VTuber. I don't even know how I found her, but I'm pretty sure Google has something to say about that.

In my opinion, this clip can generally be applied to pretty much everything else, especially other job positions. Have some respect for confidentiality. VTubers need to remain anonymous.

If your favorite well-known VTuber isn't part of an agency, they could decide to not be anonymous at any time they choose, but this is a clip about people that want to join an agency and they don't have any idea what comes with the position.

Also do your research before applying for a job of any kind. And, yes, I do consider being a VTuber a job. It's still bringing in money.
