0:52 Those tears, I think are very layered. He weeps at storm losing her powers, his own childhood pain, and the struggle he has to not exact vengeance. Those tears are also Erik trying to lean into Charles's example. He is trying to overcome his own prejudice to honor his old friends wishes.

Whoa. That's some incredible writing. I've never heard someone put it like that.

And at that moment, Magneto became my favorite character. He is indeed trying to be good on Charles' behalf and making the humans see that we all live in the same world and it is meant to be shared with everyone. This also gives me "Megatron becoming an Autobot" vibes and I hope that he stays a good guy instead of turning evil again.

Seriously this whole sequence of Magneto speaking from his heart and Jean's childbirth sprinkled in between made this whole sequence legit beautiful & deep!

And that, folks, is what we like to call "Character Development".

Legitimately may be the best interpretation of Magneto in YEARS. Like...man. That "Never again" hits HARD. His crusade is a deeply personal one. He saw one genocide, he lived through it, watched as his friends, neighbors, everyone he ever knew were marched off to camps and slaughtered like animals. And now he sees it again. The hatred, the fear. And he can stop it.

While his methods are extreme, I've found myself increasingly sympathizing with Magneto, at least as an individual.

I’m just impressed they cast different voice actors that completely captured the original voice actors performances. With Magneto and Cyclops especially.

Its like they haven’t missed a beat.

This scene was amazing and I was surprised that Magneto spared them as I thought after seeing what happened to storm he would go back to being evil
