Probably the best fourth wall break I’ve ever seen. A gag to start the movie is one thing but to do this RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE is *insane*

I remember when I saw this movie at a downtown theater a few days before my birthday. It was packed, and sold out at the time and the theater was very small. There were only a few chuckles here and there, but the moment this scene came on, it was silent. You couldn’t even hear anyone breathe. It was just silent…. The scene itself was cute, but very heartbreaking at the same time, knowing the reality that Robot never left

I saw this film in an old independent theater with a screen hanging over a proper stage.

Seeing Robot step out of the frame and walk to the edge of the screen like he was trying to exit the stage was a genuinely magical moment.

I guess this represents taking drugs to forget about how you feel, but even when having a trip you faintly remember your ex. In the end, the trip leaves you exactly where you left off, except worse because it hits you all at once
