The second incarnation of the New Direction’s popular carp fishing bait boat, The Boat 2, comes with many bells and whistles. It can be specced up to feature a in-built Deeper Chirp+ sonar, along with an autopilot upgrade so you don’t even need to control it! And speaking of controls, most associate bait boats with bulky two-joystick controllers; with the Boat 2 you get a comparatively tiny single-handed controller, similar to those used on the Nintendo Wii games console. Another great in depth and easy to follow Video from Joe on Carpology. Weather you like the bait boat or weather you think the boat is to expensive is irrelevant. Carpology just review the products, they do not make or price the products, they just review them. All you guys from Carpology are brilliant but I have to say I think you Joe are by far the best. With your relaxed and very professional manner in front of the camera you always seem to explain things so easily and so comprehensively that you never leave me wondering (but what does that do? or how does that work.) you are definitely the BEST. Great video, very in depth and precise, the one most important thing for most angler's 99.9% is the sheer ignorance of the price!! Sorry has to be said, the main question through most angler's minds is price, there are products out there now entering the UK.. Future looks bleak for these over priced products, I'd say Most probably and hopefully see the end of over priced bait boats as we know it.. Top vid well done sir..

I've heard that autonomous carp fishing rods are soon to hit the market, you won't even have to go, you can sit at home and let the rod go carp fishing for you.

I know this is a fairly old review but do you know if you still get audible alert on your spots when you reach them without the autopilot function ?? I’ve recently gotten one, set spots but when I reach the spots I’m not getting audible alerts …. I’m guessing this will come with the autopilot purchased ….? Thanks for your time

I have one of these with the speed kit fitted it’s a pukka boat I have never had a problem with it.

This is a fantastic bait boat and very innovative. I have the autopilot app added but choose to use a separate sonar chirp + using the dedicated bracket as I use the chirp on its own. Great

why does one light go out if you turn, how do you tell what way its turning with just one blinking light it could be left or right lol, makes more sense to leave both lights on and just have the one blinking so you can see the right light on and blinking left light
