Thanks for sharing! As a Yankee fan who was going through a major drought at the time in 1994, I had for two years the sense that the strike had cheated me out of a chance to see a championship though of course that changed in 1996. (And the 1981 World Series *should* have been Yankees-Expos too!)

Cubs would have busted out a 49 game winning streak overtake the first place and eventually win the NL Pennant and World Series Championship that year...

The Expos and Yankees had the best records in their respective leagues but there's no guarantee they would have made it.
